On Thursday 23rd May our Year 13 Business Studies students took the stage to present their innovative business pitches to an esteemed panel of judges from our local community at Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Manukau. Each of the nine YES Companies showcased their exceptional ideas with impressive PowerPoint presentations, demonstrating their creativity, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
The judges were impressed by the depth and breadth of the students’ business concepts. They highlighted the companies’ focus on Pūtake (purpose), Quadruple Bottomline goals, Promotional Strategies, Production, Sales Channels, and Finance. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, commending the students’ dedication, mana, and professionalism.
This event was not just a showcase but a critical learning opportunity. The valuable feedback received from the judges during the Q&A sessions will undoubtedly help refine and strengthen their business practices. These pitches are a significant part of their NZQA Internal Achievement standard, contributing 9 credits towards their portfolios.
We are so proud of our students for their hard work and commitment. Their presentations were a testament to their understanding of complex business concepts and their ability to apply them in real-world scenarios. The future of business is bright with such innovative and driven young minds!
