Two of our Year 13 students, Schalk Greyling and Leah Lawson, have been given the opportunity to live in Japan on full scholarships for 10 months from March 2024 to January 2025.
They will live in Iizuka, a small town in the prefecture of Fukuoka in southern Japan. During this time, they will teach English at a kindergarten and continue learning Japanese at the local High School. They will also live independently in a traditional Japanese style home. They will experience rural Japan life, and fun activities such as sports festivals, a homestay experience and many other cultural festivals.
We wish you all the best Leah & Schalk and look forward to hearing about your experiences next year.
