Hampton Downs Motorsport Park is a large venue which showcases the top tier of New Zealand Motor Racing. As part of a wider programme Hampton Downs engaged with the next generation, Pukekohe High School students, last Friday providing opportunities to see up close the technology and engineering used at motorsports championship level – including some of the vehicles in town for last weekend’s event.
The behind-the-scenes tour focused on the wide range of career opportunities within the motorsports industry. These included roles like audio engineer, media, data engineer, nutritionist, camera operator, operations manager, and all things noisy and mechanical. This inspirational tour allowed our future generations to take a sneak peek into their possible futures.
