STUDENT HANDBOOK     APPLY NOW

Pukekohe High School has now moved to online enrolments.

Online enrolments for in-zone students are available throughout the year. Applications must be fully completed prior to an enrolment interview. Once we have received all enrolment information, the Enrolment Registrar will contact you to schedule an interview.

To start an online application, please click HERE

You must include the following documents:

  • Birth certificate (even if not born in New Zealand)
  • Recent proof of permanent in-zone address
  • Proof of residence in New Zealand (passport and visa documentation)
  • Recent report from previous school (even if the student attended an overseas school)
  • Year 11, 12 and 13 NCEA results (if applicable)
  • Proof of guardianship (if required). If you are not the student’s biological parent or listed on the student’s birth certificate, we may request proof that the student is permitted to reside with you (e.g. an official document from the Court/Oranga Tamariki, Work and Income OR a Statutory Declaration signed by the student’s parent/s).

Acceptable forms of Proof of Address (include one of the following):

Power/electricity invoice
Rates invoice
Phone invoice (must include internet or landline)
Work and Income (WINZ) letter
Inland Revenue (IRD) letter
Ministry of Social Development (MSD) letter
Tenancy Agreement (must include all pages)

Note: Proof of Address must be issued to the student’s caregiver/s within the last six months. This does not apply to tenancy agreements.

We cannot accept bank statements or other invoices/receipts as Proof of Address.

Interviews:

  • You will meet with the Kaitiaki/Deans/Learning Support.
  • Interviews take around 20 minutes.
  • Interviews are a good opportunity to discuss the student’s learning needs, interests and strengths. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.

A student is confirmed as enrolled at Pukekohe High School after an enrolment interview has taken place and a confirmation of enrolment message has been received.

Enrolment Zone
Pukekohe High School has a Ministry of Education approved enrolment scheme. Under this scheme, students will be enrolled if they live within the home zone. A copy of the zone is available from the school office or HERE.

Out-of-Zone Enrolment

2025
Pukekohe High School is closed for out-of-zone applications for 2025.

2026
Out-of-zone applications for Years 10-13 will be considered by the PHS Board.

Re-Enrolment

Please do not complete an online application.

Parents/caregivers are advised to contact the Enrolment Registrar in the first instance: enrolment@pukekohehigh.school.nz

Please note that parents/caregivers must provide updated contact information and recent proof of an in-zone address (see above for acceptable documents). Parents/caregivers and the student must attend a re-enrolment meeting with the Dean/Kaitiaki before re-enrolment is confirmed.

Notes: If you have not received a message from the school within 3 working days, please check your ‘spam’ or ‘junk’ folder. If you are having problems completing the online enrolment, press the ‘refresh’ button (top left round arrow) several times and try again.
