The BizVenture China programme that Richie attended in April, gave students the opportunity to visit businesses who export to China. Students engage in Chinese cultural activities, and compete in a competition for the best market entry strategy for a NZ company into China. It was very competitive to be selected for this programme. Pukekohe High school entered 34 entries into the Printopia Permaset screen printing Prize 2023 and 12 students were selected to participate and be exhibited at Printopia.  Their work was comprised of screen printing layers, with focal points layered over the top in a range of media, expressing ideas about their culture and heritage. On the 5th April the 1st XI cricket team attended the Counties Manukau Cricket Assoc. awards and picked up the certificate for winning the regional round of the Gillette Cup. This was a result of beating Strathallan in the final and the team progressed to the Northern districts qualifying round where they played Equinas College
