Recently, our Year 12 Biology and General Science classes embarked on a field trip to Omana Beach in Maraetai. As part of their studies on organism interactions and environmental adaptations, 100 students conducted an ecological survey, identifying and counting species across eleven locations between the high- and low-tide marks.
The data collected will contribute to their internal assessment and provide valuable insights into species presence in the Hauraki Gulf over time. Blessed with fantastic weather, both students and staff made the most of a successful and enriching day of hands-on learning—well done to all involved!
