Level 2

Students will complete 17 - 20 credits to attain level 2 Engineering qualification.

ASSESSMENT: To Gain Tools4Work LEVEL 2 certificate – internal assessment for 17 credits

COURSE FEES: $60.00 to cover cost of materials

PREREQUISITES: Students must have gained all 24 credits available in year 11 EGR course and the approval of TIC. A satisfactory workshop record is required.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Workshop processes including but not limited to, hand tool, measuring, milling, design, engineering drawing and health & safety protocol.

EXCLUSIONS: Classes must not contain more than 24 students for safety purposes. Any unsafe and/or unsatisfactory workshop practice. Classes will depend on staffing, rooming and resources available. COURSE

LEADS TO: Possibility of leading into apprenticeship in the engineering trades, pathways at school. CAREER

LINKS: Maintenance fitter, toolmaker, light and heavy fabrication apprenticeships
