Each unit will have the following components:

  • Theory and workbooks. This will include additional activities to reinforce knowledge gained.
  • Practical observations and assessments, which will be recorded using practical observation sheet (one for each student). All practical’s are assessments.
  • Test, closed book conditions. The test will be photocopied from the workbook and given to students separately to ensure no cheating takes place. Students will be given at least one weeks notice for the test date.

Students must have successfully completed all of the above for competency in each unit.

Unit 167 is a prerequisite for all other level 2 units. Failure to complete this unit will result in no other credits being gained for the year for this subject.

**  Units 14434 and 14436 are taught by an outside tutor during term two and three. The course has limited numbers (16 students per course) and is only available depending on the budget. Students who regularly attend school and have passed unit 167 get first priority.
